Today's project

Today I am working on the boys/guest bathroom. I am sooo not good at this decorating thing, so I need your help.


Here is what I have done so far. The picture doesn't really show just how ugly the pink tile and pink faux marble counters are. (Think early 90's pink.)

I think we hung the picture too high, but Marty thinks it is just right. I am almost afraid to lower it, because of the towel rack. I am now wondering if it is too small? Maybe I need to find things to go around it to make it look bigger? Those small plates, maybe? Here is a close up of them:


The thing on the side is a towel rack. Well, it might really be a wine bottle rack, I'm not sure. This non-drinker is using it as a towel rack! I'm not sure I like it. If I decide to keep it, I am going to buy crisp white or cream towels for it, and threaten the boys with bodily harm if they use them.

I will probably make the chenille shower curtain either this week or next weekend. I need to find a shower curtain rod that will hold it, first.

Anyway, what do you think? Should I lower the picture? Does the towel rack/wine bottle rack look ok so close to the mirror?
